Participants will be issued a certificate of attainment at completion of the course.

An NT White card will be issued by the Territory Business Centre.

Course overview

This unit of competency supports the attainment of the basic OHS knowledge required prior to
undertake designated work tasks within any of the sectors within the construction industry.
The unit relates directly to the general induction training program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2006).

It requires the ability to demonstrate personal awareness of OHS legislative requirements, and the basic principles of risk management and prevention of injury and illness in the construction industry.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

Alcohol cannot be consumed on Accrete premises. In the opinion of management, if a participant is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, then management shall remove that person from Accrete premises. Notification to the person’s employer may be made if the employer paid for the course.
