Course Length: 1 day
Course Times: 8.00am to 4.30pm (7.45am registration. Finish times may vary depending on group size)

It is a requirement as stated in the Australian/New Zealand Standard 1891:2009 that personnel be retrained at regular intervals. Industry best practice requires this training to be reaccredited every 2 years

Course Overview

work safely at heightssafety equipmentThis course aims to provide skills and knowledge required to apply safe working practices when working at heights or depth. This very practical workshop will give participants the opportunity to correctly select and wear appropriate protective equipment whilst participating in various scenarios using our purpose built Safety Training tower. Participants will be required to demonstrate the correct usage of associated safety equipment, possess an understanding of the relevant legislation and standards and conduct a Job Safety Analysis. Industry best practice requires this training to be reaccredited every 2 years.

Clothing & Footwear

A minimum standard of clothing consisting of long trousers (preferred), short-sleeved shirt and fully enclosed footwear is required. Accrete operates an enclosed shoe site.

Failure to wear the correct clothing or footwear may result in training being refused.

Drug & Alcohol Policy

Alcohol cannot be consumed on Accrete premises. In the opinion of management, if a participant is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, then management shall remove that person from Accrete premises. Notification to the person’s employer may be made if the employer paid for the course.

Pre-requisites

There are no pre-requisites associated with the course. However, if there are any medical concerns they must be discussed with Accrete prior to attending the course.

Assessments
